Just 15km from Porto-Vecchio, the 2 km-long Pinarello beach features white sand and umbrella pines that form a pine forest, offering welcome shade on the hottest summer days.
Pinarello is also the name of the seaside village.
Restaurants, pizzerias and ice-cream parlours overlook the bay of Pinarello and its island, where a 500-year-old Genoese tower is enthroned.
This beautiful white-sand beach stretches across the entire bay, but under different names: Pinarellu, Vardiola, Caramontinu or Ovu Santu for the wildest part. Each of the bay's beaches and coves offers a different atmosphere, giving Pinarello its own special character.
This pretty pine-fringed cove is the ideal beach for families, and the shallowness over a long distance from the shore makes it a perfect playground for the little ones. There's a gentle slope for swimming and plenty to do during the summer months. The fine white sand and translucent water make this a must-see spot in the region.
The Pinarello site also boasts a square Genoese tower built on the "Isula di i Corsi" peninsula and its two Natura 2000 classified ponds. On the left-hand side of the beach (bordering the Caramontinu beach) is the Ex-Veto, built in 1950 in honor of a fisherman who escaped a storm on March 19.
After the little chapel, the Marina de Pinarellu boasts a number of waterfront restaurants, including the famous fish and lobster restaurant Le Rouf, and the family-friendly pizzeria Chez Fred.
On the pinewood beach, you can enjoy a wide range of water sports, including jetskiing, paddleboarding, parasailing and pedalos, or simply enjoy lunch by the sea in a straw hut.
The beach also has a small harbor with a boat launch, where you'll find the Corsil boat rental company's nautical base for your vacation outings.
This little seaside village definitely has plenty of charm and a peaceful atmosphere conducive to relaxation and idleness. One of our favorite spots in the region!
