The north of Porto Vecchio is not to be outdone when it comes to dream beaches!

Cala Rossa is a famous beach located on the Cala Rossa peninsula, north of Porto-Vecchio in southern Corsica. It is renowned for its fine sand, crystal-clear waters and picturesque surrounding landscape. The beach is often considered one of the most beautiful in the region.

Framed by granite rocks, you can see many fish. We've even spotted dolphins from the beach. The view of the Gulf of Porto Vecchio, the Aiguilles de Bavella and the Genoese tower that dominates the site, is very much appreciated.

Access is easy, with plenty of free parking available.

The large beach of Cala Rossa is actually made up of 2 successive beaches: Cala Rossa/Tramulimacchia and the small beach of Benedettu after the rocky peninsula.

Cala Rossa beach has a Tramulimacchia sailing school It's also a lively place in summer, with a variety of seaside restaurants and straw huts offering musical evenings and "soirée blanche" events, which attract large crowds of Porto-Vecchi locals and tourists alike.

Benedettu beach

Located on the Benedettu peninsula, this is the terminus of the Cala Rossa road. The beach is small and little-known by holidaymakers, yet very pleasant, with a south-westerly exposure. It's perfect for admiring the sunset on hot summer nights.

One of Corsica's oldest private estates, created in the 60s with the idea of creating private residences in a forest park and imitating national parks.
