The north of Porto Vecchio is not outdone on the dream beaches side!
Cala Rossa is a famous beach located on the Cala Rossa peninsula, north of Porto-Vecchio in South Corsica. It is known for its fine sand, its crystal clear waters and its picturesque surrounding landscape. The beach is often considered one of the most beautiful in the region.
Supervised by granite rocks, you can see many fish. We have even seen dolphins there from the beach. The view of the Gulf of Porto Vecchio, the Bavella needles and the Genoese tower which dominates the site, is very appreciated.
Access is easy, many free parking spaces are available.
The large Cala Rossa beach is actually made up of 2 successive beaches: Cala Rossa/Tramulimacchia then the small Benedettu beach after the rocky peninsula.
Cala Rossa beach has a Tramulimacchia sailing school with sailing, windsurfing, paddle boards ... It is also lively in summer with different restaurants by the sea or huts that offer musical evenings, white evenings ... to which Porto-Vecchiais and tourists flock.
Benedettu beach
Located on the Benedettu peninsula, it is the terminus of the road to Cala Rossa. The beach is small but little known to vacationers, however very pleasant, with a southwest exposure. It is perfect for admiring a sunset during hot summer nights.
